Well I got my Sorento today! Aruba Green with Rust Interior. Whoo Hoo! Not Wolf Gray - but I love the green as well. The Wolf Gray would have been anywhere from 2 months to 6 months out. Color isn't all that important. I like the tech and the luxury. :)

They also had a White Prestige X-Line but it had the 2nd row screens - another $2K so definately not for me. Also Black interior.
When I drove away another lady was buying it - trading in her old Sorento - not sure what year - but she said she never had any issues with her old Sorento. Nice.

We will be going to the Apple Harvest Festival in Syria Virginia tomorrow (Graves Mountain Lodge) to break her in. :)

Here are the obligatory pics of mine...

Funny Story - I was test driving it before signing on the dotted line - and went to my friends house - I opened the hatch and decided to check out the second row - locked myself in - child locks! The car was off - so I couldn't roll down the window and use the outside handle - I had to climb out the back hatch! LOL! I'm a doofus! Then my friend came out...

One thing I did right away was inflated my tires to about 37PSI - 35PSI is the reccommended but - they were at about 30PSI from the dealership. Went on a 150 mile round trip today and got 32MPG going and about 30MPG on the return. Mountains of Virginia. Apple Festival in Syria, VA. Graves Mountain Lodge. Happening next weekend too...

I'm still trying to figure out the door locks. There are times I want to pop the passenger door to grab a bag but only the drivers door will open. I'm sure it has to do with the car running or not, the child lock setting, where the key fob is, and whether the key or the door switch is used to unlock.

It's always when I'm in a rush of course

A few new things I've noticed between 21 & 22s. The engine cover on the 22 covers the oil cap. Also the coolant is pink compared to green on the 21s.

The 21s oil cap is also covered.

I have pink coolant in my '21
Well, this'll muddy up the conversation; from this page...https://www.valvoline.com/our-products/antifreeze-products/antifreeze-education/engine-coolant

After thinking about it though, this is the color-coding for Zerex brand coolant; may not have any bearing on what comes OEM

I paid MSRP. I think it was around $45k. West Broad Kia doesn’t mark up their cars. Also they will order a car with no down payment. I love my Sorento! It’s my happy place!
It’s quick, roomy, good looking, and fairly fuel efficient if you can keep your foot light on the pedal. 😊. Surprisingly fast… really smooth too.
