how do i search for an issue, new user can only find google search box

 

Got the letter on Saturday for my 07 Spectra EX sedan.

I'm gonna see if I schedule it so that they can take care of the gas tank strap recall at the same time.

 

I pm'd cobra259 about this and this is what he sent...
"Hey Dave...
We shoot cavity wax where you can't see, in side control arms and inside any access holes, and 2 to 3 cans of spray on rust prof.
Not much more than that."

I'd suggest taking a power washer to the front frame pieces first BEFORE having KIA do the corrosion preventive applications so it will stick better...especially in NYC as New York uses unbelievable amounts of salt...

I have the same letter but haven't scheduled yet. When I just had an oil change done somewhere else they said my oil pan is rusted out and has no started to drip onto the ground below.

Any thoughts if they will cover replacing this, or if I can get them to, as part of the service campaign?

 

You will be buying your own oil pan. See post #4 . that's we Kia is doing. It doesn't mean they are going to warranty parts that are rusted. They are trying to slow down the rust, that is all.
A new oil pan from a Kia dealer is $65.00. Plus some RTV and new oil and no more leak.

 

Does this apply for Canada too? I am in the eastern Ontario rust belt,
