I sent an email to Kia-Customer-Care@kiausa.com, which is basically a “contact us” on Kia’s website. Provide your vehicle’s make, year and VIN, and your concerns. They will provide a case number. But they really can’t help you with solutions, since they rely on feedback from the service centers, and are more concerned with safety issues, of which I’ve been trying to explain to them this noise could be a precursor to suspension failure, hence a safety issue. No word yet from them, I think they’re aware of the issue, but who knows lol
I just called this number 800.333.4542, had a 30 mins conversation with the rep, filed a claim and she asked for 2 phone numbers for them (dealership)to follow up with me.
I explained my 2 issues to her, one being my annoying break pedal dead spot, and stressed the suspension/shocks/insulation/dull clunking noise/ball bouncing issue we are all having, and called bluff the diagnosis we've been getting. Explained these peoblems are now well documented in this forum and are not an isolated issues.
I hope actions are taken based on our complaints and the time we are spending on this subject.
I also told the friendly lady over the phone, that I expect some sort of resolution since these vehicles are no longer cheap (she agreed) and we shouldn't be getting this kind of garbage for our money.
And, in a nice way, advised her that I will take it to the leadership )even different ones) as many times as needed. I even told her that if the issue is not fixed I may look into legal advise to get out of my lease.

Thanks for the info, think I’m going to call that number as well since I’m not getting a response from email. Hoping for a service bulletin and a recall.

2024 Sorento S AWD with the same issue. Lower speed bumps it sounds like it’s coming from the right rear. I took all tire changing equipment out, same sound. Dropped the spare, same sound. Put 2nd and 3rd row seats down, then up, then one up one down, same sound. Had the wife drive while I sat in the rear with my ear to the floor trying to identify exact origin of the noise. Still sounded like right rear, but as we know, noise travels across suspension parts. Going to call my general mgr friend where I purchased this Kia and get it looked at. I’m guessing that this is going to be a process for the foreseeable future.

If I don't hear back from them in a week, at least an acknowledgement, I will submit a written complaint as well.
Sometimes we settle and give up too easily because this issues are so time consuming due to all the red tape, and these large corporations know that. I won't settle, I like my vehicle, I like the brand and I expect it to work as good, and even better than my 2022 Sorento.

I going this Friday with my problems and one of this is suspension noise. I really try everything and only difference is when you have full tank of gas is less clunky.

Unbelievable that you mentioned that, I was talking to myself this morning as I had an empty tank in morning and it was -2 degrees celsius and the clunking was way louder (triggered much easier) and I was thinking does this has to do with fuel tank !

I know we will know for sure what is it, but what i can confirm, that this is not normal noise from road driving

General my Sorento on highway get so loud specially wind noise this after 2y own and almost 40k mil

I was having a similar noise on my 2021 EX. I swore it was suspension or something loose underneath. One day I happened to touch my rear spoiler and noticed a little play. I opened the hatch and found the plastic nuts securing the spoiler. The ones on the left took a turn or two to snug them up. Now the noise is gone.

That’s interesting, may try filling the tank and see if there’s a difference. When I was under the car the bulk of the gas tank is on the left side and the shallow part extends over to the right, with allowance for the exhaust system. The strap mounts seem secure enough. But the tank is under the 2nd row seat floor, my noise seems to be coming from the 3rd row seat floor. Going to take it again once I collect more “clues” or more info.
BTW, for all involved with this problem, Kia Customer Care replied with my update regarding shock replacement, and stated: “Thank you for following up. Please refer to the previous email. We are not certified technically. We rely on the certified Kia dealerships. All vehicle concerns must be addressed by a trained service technician.” So, they can’t help us unless they get steady feedback for Kia service centers, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll issue a recall. Sheesh.🙄

I called Kia Customer Care as well. They said the exact same thing about having a dealership diagnosis as the first step. They did provide me with a case # from their end. My appt is on Nov 19th at the dealership.

As for the gas tank, I still have the same sound with a full tank.

Well, it was worth a shot filling the tank. Hope they find something and if they do, please share. Hopefully if the service centers keep passing on customer complaints, something will get done.

Another update. I put in new winter tires with rims, wobble/sound still there, even with the gas tank half-full, and the car loaded with the 4 tires in the trunk. (heavy load).

Got some open time coming up, gonna take it back in. Sad part of Kia’s Customer Care is that they rely on results from the service centers, but that doesn’t work if they have no answers or results for anyone’s complaints. Hopefully we will prevail.

Are we giving up on this? Im about to set up another appointment for next week or whenever they decide to take it in. Different dealership too.
Any updates?

No, not going to give up yet, I’m making another appointment with the same advisors that also heard the noise, and making sure it’s reported to corporate. Problem is I’m out of clues, this is beyond my mechanical observations, need to find an actual skilled technician. Anyone try a third party suspension expert yet?

No, i think it needs some clear audio/video recording and YouTube. I can already see couple of reddit posts on it. And as i drive the car more, the more i am concerned because sometimes it can be really loud/shaky on those bumps.

YouTube videos will get their attention

If fhe don't fix it during my next visit, then I'll look for a third party
