2.0 or 2.4??

Hello All,

I am new to this and I am willing to purchase my first "Kia" car. it is Sportage. I am looking for a 2.4 engine. according to the reseller, the one I will buy has this VIN: KNAPC812DD7447460
Please can anyone confirm if this is 2.0 or 2.4?

Based on the VIN number, the 8th digit is '2' which indicates it has the 2.4L engine.

US car? What year sportage?

The new ones are: 2.0 is turbo, 2.4 is N/A.

That is NOT a USA vin#. You need to tell us where you live??? Diff country's means diff engines are offered.

The engine code in the VINs are globally used, they do not change by region. "2" as the 8th digit identifies the 2.4L engine worldwide. Also can see it is a 2013 model year (10th digit "D") built at the Gwanju facility (11th digit "7") in Korea. Sportages are considered an MPV in the US, and have a 3rd digit "D" instead of "A".

So, What do you think guys of the Sportage?
