I have a 2021 Sorento SX. I was wondering if anyone is having any transmission issues? My car has currently been sitting at the dealership for 60+ days awaiting a new transmission. Transmission failed at 3,200k miles. If so, has anyone had luck receiving a transmission?

If you haven't found this yet this is all you need. I'm in GA too. There's a drop-down that specifically talks about what you need to look for upon picking up your vehicle and what the repair receipt is supposed to have. Glad I read this because Kia did not include multiple things that they needed to. Not sure if that was on accident or on purpose. Also don't let Kia know that you're thinking about lemon law or mention it to them in any way. Only go through the formal process.
There's a telephone number somewhere on this guide and you'll most likely leave a voicemail but the guy is a lawyer and he called me back twice when I had some questions. He's not allowed to give you legal advice but he just can answer general questions and guide you through the process. He was really helpful.
Have an ETA on my replacement vehicle for May 15th. They screwed up the first replacement and ordered the wrong interior or I would have had it this month. Good luck and sorry you joined the party

Update on this: So IMO, I think that Kia is getting hip to the transmissions going out on this particular car & are beginning to rush the repairs to avoid lemon law claims because they finally confirmed that it was the transmission & are rushing it to the dealership. They said that it should be here in the next 2 days & the car should be fixed by the end of the week. I am relieved about this but very nervous at the same time because I am concerned about having a liffetime of repairs for a transmission moving forward. Neither am I confident in the dealership’s service department that’s fixing it but I don’t have a choice really so let’s hope for the best!

I researched a bit on the transfer case and how it connects with the transmission. Should they be replacing the transmission too or is the transfer case a proper warranty replacement?

Just received my 22' lemon replacement that's AWD so I'll keep updating if I have any issues. My 21' that failed was an AWD though.
I wouldn't have considered getting this in FWD(with the turbo model at least) though at the same time if you're trying to avoid AWD. Check out link below and fast forward to 22:40. He's not the first on reviews that I saw prior to purchasing that have said this and that tire chirping and wheelspin was very frequent even if you're trying to take it easy.
A bit off topic, but your signature says you're interested in the PHEV. It uses a traditional 6 speed automatic, so no worries about a DCT giving you problems.
I bought a 2021 Kia Sorrento Platinum AWD diesel for my wife. It was our first car with DCT and so I knew the common intricacies about them. I found the common to a stop and the DCT thumping into a lower gear or getting into neutral was getting worse as more mileage was put on the car. We are now at 28,000 kilometers and can't put up with it anymore. There are 3 problems I have found with the transmission. 1 - It just seems like the clutch activates too slow when coming to a stop which creates the thumping. 2- when reverse is selected, not matter how long you wait after you rotate the dial, it thumps into gear or feels like there is no slip of the clutch. 3- when in Park and handbrake engaged, there is a slight surge as if the clutch is engaging and then disengaging. It happens in a cycle of 8 seconds apart.
I took the car to the dealer to have it addressed. The dealer experienced the same issue i told them about but they have to get a technician from KIA Australia to look at the car. It could be off the road for a week or more. The dealer will provide a courteousy car while it is off the road.

They only replaced my Transfer Case. It's driving pretty good right now. Real jumpy when breaking, though (low speed breaks).
I'll see how things go from here. At least it is quiet and runs again at it's mighty 10K mile mark.

Glad they got you back running... how long were you out of your vehicle? Did you have Diagnostic code P1C2D03 ? They ordered my transmission, from overseas, will notify me when it arrives. (she anticipates by Friday..she didnt specify "WHICH" Friday! )
About two weeks, no loaner. They didn't tell me it had a code, I never had a warning light either.
I bought a 2022 Sorento SX Prestige in March. By the end of April, the dash displayed a message that reads "Transmission System Error! Check transmission oil immediately." Restarting the vehicle usually clears it. Driving with this error only pulls in odd gears and slips terribly in even gears. Dealer is useless and cannot find any codes or any other evidence of what is happening. I do not think this transmission is ready for everyday use. At this point I am pursuing a Lemon Law claim. It is disappointing because I really liked the car.

Has anyone else had this error message? It started at 1626 miles and has reoccurred several times since then. Car is barely 3 months old. I am very disappointed. "Transmission System Error! Check transmission oil immediately" does not really seem normal. There is no way to check the transmission oil. From what I gather there are two different types of oil in the two sides of this transmission. Has anyone had a successful solution other than a replacement transmission?

Seems simple to me. Drive or tow to Kia service immediately.
It's Intermittent. Sometimes it can be a week between errors. Kia dealer has looked at it and can't find a code or anything.
Still, you have a photo showing that either there's a tranny issue or a computer issue (because the computer is falsely warning of an issue on the dash and/or the computer is also not recording the associated code).
They need to dig deeper, including checking the oil, IMO.
How many of their tranny failures were due to low oil? If any, you'd think they'd want to be proactive.
Doesn't matter if they can find anything and yes it's a huge inconvenience for you but record every time you're there and every time you're with out your vehicle. sounds like you may be getting ready to have the big transmission problem that suddenly happened to all of us. Difference for you versus me is yours is still within the first year of ownership. mine, due to not driving cuz of covid put less use on my vehicle and therefore I cannot get a replacement via the Lemon Law
Good news,sort of! I got my car back Friday evening.(they had it over 30 days) so,
over the weekend we celebrated my birthday so did a bit of driving, the new transmission sucks! It makes a whirring sound and then picks up speed! Gotta check to see what kind of transmission they gave me ..ugh

I don't qualify as mine is 2021 and I've had it for over a year. (Under Tennessee lemon law, a new car must conform to all applicable warranties for up to one year. If a "nonconformity" can't be resolved within the statutory period, the vehicle (passenger automobile or motorcycle under Tennessee law) would be considered a lemon. ) There may be an alternative option but will see where I stand and proceed.
