I have a 2014 Kia Reo5 base model 6sp manual.

How do I know if I have the new Run-Flat tires?

I didn't get a spare tire with my new car.

Look in the hatchback under the flooring, there should be a tire mobility kit. It includes an air compressor, fix-a-flat which you attach to the compressor, and some other stuff like a tow hook, etc.... As far as I know, Rio's don't come with run flat tires.

Here's the compressor and fix-a-flat:

Lmao! Kia with run flats from factory? Bahahaha! Yeah right. They still put shitty hankooks on their $66K flagship vehicle. Anyway you have a tire mobility kit in the rear cargo area. And runflats tires will say RFT on the sidewall.

The kit from kia comes with all that you need should be around $210.00 for everything. Wheel, tire, jack, lug wrench, and storage bag.

Every new car I have bought over the years I have found the OEM tires to junk. Just because they are brand name does not mean top of the line tires.
As an example my Mazda3 Gt came with Yokohama tires, pretty good brand name you would think, yet they were bloody awful. I dumped them within the first month.

Pat.

For the most part, I agree, most OEM tires are crap but I'm saying that both of these vehicles came with tires that I am happy with. In both cases, they ride smoothly, handle well, and wear well. When it comes time to replace them, I wouldn't be opposed to buying the same brand in both cases.
