Hey man, you've got my car! How do you like it? How do you like or dislike the heated windshield?
LOL! I am not discussing the heated windshield(doesn't bother me)!!! The PHEV is fantastic. Dollar for dollar, this thing is boxing well above it's weight class. The design, quality, drive, technology, etc. is right up there with way more expensive brands. Hopefully this extra-complex drivetrain proves to be reliable. The PHEV aspects bring my inner nerd out big-time.

This drivetrain has been out for like 2+ years now? Started w/2021 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Our 2022 Tucson PHEV (also exact same drivetrain) has been on the road for almost a year. Noproblemo's. Sweet, sweet car. Certainly kicks Chevy Volt a$$!!

Doesn't the Niro use the same powertrain too?
Nope. A quick Google search shows that the Niro‘s ICE isn’t turbocharged and it has a dual-clutch auto tranny. So a lot less power and torque from engine, but a bit better “performance” from tranny. And of course, only comes in FWD.

Hyundai Santa Fe & Tucson and Kia Sorento & Sportage, all have same drivetrains.
