After living with my new Sportage PHEV for a month now, I don’t think I can stand the piano black glare & smudges any longer. Leaning toward the peach wood via Amazon based on this extremely informative thread.

Is everyone still happy with their decision and is the solution (be it carbon fiber or Peach wood) still performing without issues?
I got the peach wood and love it. Others were saying how it doesn't quite fit the upper corner, mine didn't when I first put it on. I took it off and tried again (after replacing all the tape); This time I put the upper right corner on first and made sure it lines up with the buttons. Since then it looks great and nothing is loose. I think it is a very tight design an if you are off by a mm then it may not sit right.
Don't forget to order the door covers too. The piano black on the doors drove me nuts too.

Thanks that’s great info! I’ll be sure to follow your placement recommendations. I’ll also likely opt for the door sections depending on how the console install goes. Wondering: Did you heat up the adhesive prior to the install?

Ours fit like a glove, did use a heat gun and they have been rock solid for months.

Peach Wood Hybrid version from AE , for $51 total on sale (with coupons) for all 6 pieces including the doors

Same as you get on Amazon but lot less from AE

Thanks for that! I’ve never owned a heat gun. Might be a dumb question: Would a blow dryer work?

No heat gun used, I just removed the red adhesive cover and stuck it on and it didn't want to come off when I needed to move it. The 2nd time I used 3M red tape (same that was on there) and it doesn't move.

I did clean everything with alcohol before applying.

I wish someone would make a Matt black cover. What about custom vinyl? Anyone tried that?

Rvinyl has a variety of options, ready cut but partial on the console

Custom kits @ $249 for full cover console coverage but pricey, for ~ $50 we like the 6 peachwood cover pieces from AE but you still have to clean the piano buttons.
