I bought the peach wood look for my console and doors. I really like it (and wife does too, which was a shock); it's similar enough to the wood look in the Sportage already for casual glances, but the grain is different... it's close enough for me.

Just got these. Has anyone tried removing the double stick tape and adhering the overlays with silicone calk?
Seems to me when they made these overlays they didn't take into account the thickness of the double stick tape .05"

The double sided sticky tape is the preferred option. If you take the route of "gluing" the pieces down, the original trim pieces will probably be damaged if you attempt to remove the new ones. The extra thickness of the tape is not really noticeable because of the rounded over edges of the trim pieces. I have removed the after-market center piece on my Sportage and there was no damage to the OEM trim using the tape.

What bothers me is when I hold the center console piece in place its clear its standing off the underlying surface a set distance. i.e. I can see air gaps at the holes for the R N D where dirt is going to get in.
Edit
Just ripped off the tape and tried laying the pieces back down sans tape, air gaps still there.
Lesson =might as well keep the tape

Edit:
Gave them a try for a week then ripped them off.
The sliding tray with the fat overlay on it would no longer slide freely - worse the center consul overlay was not a perfect fit and would not stay down. Lifting my right foot off the gas, the seam in my pant leg would snag the edge of the overlay and lift it up - very annoying.

Edit:
Just noted you can buy adhesive backed vinyl that looks like carbon fiber in 12" x12" sheets, the size needed to put in one of those Cricut vinyl cutting machines.
If you could get an accurate pattern this might be the way to go. A friend has offered to let me borrow his Cricut machine- Ill see what I can come up with.

Can someone please remove this center console? I would use wrap foil

I thought about printing a vinyl sheet, but the R N D lights up to indicate which is selected. a Vinyl overlay would cover those. If you had vinyl cutouts for the RND, it wouldn't be a clean look.

Any vinyl cut pattern I'd make would have cutouts where the R N D are so they could still be seen. Also of course there'd be cutouts for all usable buttons and knobs.
I intended to trace the Kadore ABS pieces I bought and use the traced shape as my starting pattern for my vinyl piece, but I forgot to do tracings before returning them to Amazon so not sure I can really do a vinyl pattern that would fit perfectly at this point.

make a pattern and I will also try it on to see if it will fit correctly

For those looking for vinyl solutions:
Rdash™ Kia Sportage 2023-2023 Dash Kits:

Could get them to custom make you one but the stock one does'nt have a lot of coverage around console.

Went with the Peach Wood Hybrid version for AE , for $51 total on sale (with coupons) for all 6 pieces.

Even the stock matte on the door upper trim showed finger prints and smudges and this set in a big improvement

Used a heat gun to warm up the adhesive and they have held steady for weeks now. NO more finger prints & smudges all over the place, so happy with the Peach Wood trim which looks and match's well with the steel grey and other interior colors.

Made a couple of attempts at creating a vinyl overlay without good results. Not willing to invest any more time on this.
As poster below says there are some automotive specific vinyl wraps that you can use where you use a heat gun to help get vinyl to stretch, but I'm pretty sure they'd require you yanking the console plate out so you could wrap the vinyl around the edges to the underside.

They are now available on AliExpress for the US Model. I should have mine in a few days. Problem is I have the X-Line and only Carbon Fiber was available. Going to see how it looks because I can't stand just the piano black.

Currently only see Carbon Fiber
I bought the carbon fiber and love it, looks great, did the center area as well as the doors.

Which ones did you go with?
Its been awhile but I believe they were the Kadore ones on Amazon, a little more expensive but at least you can return on Amazon. Plus they had the pieces for the doors too. They look great.

After living with my new Sportage PHEV for a month now, I don’t think I can stand the piano black glare & smudges any longer. Leaning toward the peach wood via Amazon based on this extremely informative thread.

Is everyone still happy with their decision and is the solution (be it carbon fiber or Peach wood) still performing without issues?

Following…. I seen a Sportage at the dealer when I was getting my oil changed, The owner of the car had the Carbon fiber looking ones and the gentleman told me he’s not happy with the ones he purchased off eBay.
Even thoe they looked great. said it’s not contoured correctly he’s having trouble with it sticking. Is anybody else having this issue?

My carbon fiber ones are working out great. I believe one corner of the center console cover isn't in complete contact with the base, but meh - so what?
I believe that was his issue
