I was referring to that break, so maybe you're talking about a different piece then I don't know, on mine there is just the plastic piece that comes up to the edge and then there is some felt-like material there and then on the actual body of the car there is the plastic with metal inserts for your shoes. The part I was talking about was on the inside of the car kinda, on the upper portion, not the actual sill.

For the outer part of the seals, just take a flat head and wedge it up under there and pry. it's just like the other side, but it's a little harder to get off. i ran it under both door seals, even took out the part between the front seat and rear to make it look professional.

as for the ground, lilft up the carpet right where it meets the seat, and you might even want to take off the bottom of the seat with just 2 clips. there should be somewhere to ground it out under there. just make sure and scrape the paint to get a good connection.

Repairing Door Sills

You might have to remove the door stills. Try using these steps.
Take pictures or videos of the original weather strips before you begin. Refer back to them as needed.
Remove the old weather strips, using a screwdriver and pliers. Do not scratch the paint.
Remove all adhesive with alcohol and a shop cloth. Use a plastic scraper if needed for the really stuck-on stuff -- a plastic scraper will not scratch your vehicle's paint. Wipe down one last time and let dry.
Apply new adhesive and install new weather stripping. Wipe away any excess adhesive.
