Question from a Cannuck: Anyone know where I will find the driving light control module? Mine stopped working, and I have no running lights at all. I now have a replacement "DLR Module" in my hand, and I'm scratching my... enough said.

I searched this forum but can't seem to find anything specific. Not many Canadians here, I suppose.

Please help if you can. I'm probably missing something obvious.

Take care, eh.

Oh yes, speaking of missing something obvious, I have an 04 Sorento LX

ok... I just found and read a couple of posts on the Sephia forum, and they seem to have some real problems with this... I'll take a look on the drivers side kick panel for it, as that's where it apparently resides on those models. (Also sounds like a pain in the a** to get at, but I'll let y'all know what I find.)
In the meanwhile, if anyone has better info, I'm all ears.

well, it's not as obvious as I hoped. I've looked all over and can't find it. The only place I haven't checked is behind the fuse block inside the right kick panel. It's apain to get apart, and I don't want to do that unless I know it's there.
Please, can anyone give me a clue on this? The new part looks like there are should be three plugs going into the end, a total of about 12 connector pins, and the module is clearly marked 'DLR Module'. I'm looking for the identical black box, etc... because that's all I know.

Thanks so much, Paco. Great info, great site for future reference, too.

Looks like the DRL (I keep calling it a DLR, sorry) module is hiding above the pull-out drawer on the lower left crash panel. How convenient :-( Back to taking stuff apart...

All the best,
