It's great to read all the highly positive reviews, as for some of the negative comments I find most of them to be completely ridiculous and in my experience you really need to be careful and not put too much emphasis on these reviews, they often don't know how to evaluate cars in a manner that reflects real-life uses.
For example, the comment about the 0-60 times being 1.4 seconds slower than the competition (I think it was the 4-cylinder version vs. the Equinox) - who cares!! The Sorento is on the large end of the spectrum and who among us expects this to be a race car??!! I don't know about you, but I buy cars that have a proper balance of efficiency and performance, not to take to the race track!
And an even more relevant point: We should not even be comparing the Sorento to the Chevy Equinox, have you guys checked the reliability/quality rankings on that car recently (ex. *********), it is HORRIBLE, and absolute nightmare!! So I'll take a 1 second slower 0-60 time in exchange for a High Quality vehcile like the Sorento and pass on the junky Chevy crossover. In the real world, consumers care about quality and not having to spend a lot of time at the garage getting repairs done, door opening sizes for getting kids in and out, height and usability of cargo area etc....these things affect real life and these are the things we love about our Sorento....
Thanks again to everyone for posting the links to the reviews, they are a good starting point for researching vehicles, then I recommend reading posts from real people on forums such as this, that's where you'll get the real valuable info. for vehicle research.
