05 spectra turn signal and other electrical

Hey everyone. So I've acquired a 05 spectra and have been working on it. I got it very very cheap and it's running great, but the turn signals are not working.
So what they do is, when car is off, the drivers side signal stays on. There is no blinking when you turn the switch, and the only way to keep it from killing the car has been to unplug the fuse. I know there could be many issues causing this, some of them expensive, but was looking for ideas to check so as to cover all bases prior to attempting to get the system rewired, or spending hours looking for a short. Side question, if that was needed, is there a way to bypass rewiring things and run separate wires on their own?
When I received the car, it sat for a.while, and had to have the battery replaced. Prior to that the radio worked, but now does not. I've checked fuses, replaced fuses just in case, and can't get the radio to activate. Also, the power door locks do not work when the car is off, but do when battery is on. Have I activated some sort of anti theft system? Thanks for any help.

Looked and looked, and i CANNOT find any information. hours on google hasn't helped. Figured i'd ask here again.

my 05 kia spectra is having some weird problems with the turn signal

When the fuse is in (I currently have it out) the driver side turn signal light constantly stays on solid, even when car is off. It will kill the battery if I leave it in. Turning switch to left does not cause it to blink, the light remains solid and on. Turning it to right does nothing at all. Hazard lights do not work when button is pushed.

I have checked fuses. On recommendation from a mechanically inclined friend i have tried to locate a flasher relay (which i'm getting conflicting information on, whether it is controlled by the BCM or a relay) I also can't seem to find a replacement flasher relay, OR replacement BCM online, which furthers my confusion. I must be missing something.
My initial reaction points me away from the switch and to either a damaged relay, or maybe a weird short or ground somewhere unexpected.

I would really like to hand this by myself, as i don't want to dump a lot of money into the car trying to find the problem.

ideas? anyone?
