I started a thread about the transferability of Kia's warranty. The administrator closed it and removed it.

Why?

This is from a Kia dealer website:

Is the Kia Warranty Transferable?
If you’re purchasing a pre-owned Sorento or looking to sell yours, then you might be wondering if the Kia warranty is transferable. The basic warranty can be transferred to the new owner, as long as it falls within the first 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The powertrain warranty, however, is not transferable. Yet, if you’re choosing a certified pre-owned Kia model, you’ll receive a 10-year/100,000-mile limited Kia powertrain warranty and a 12-month/12,000-mile Platinum Coverage package.

It’s just a manual from 2019 the warranty has been the same since 2008.

Here’s a more recent article from car and driver

New members have to fill out their profile with their car information or the forum puts the post in quarantine for a while. I suspect it’s an anti-spam measure.

New Kia owners get the full 5 year 60k mile limited basic warranty along with the 10 year 100k mile power train warranty. Second owners get the remainder of the 5/60 (unless it’s a Certified Pre-Owned)
