I can't seem to find the torque specs for the tie rod end to the cars wheel hub assembly. I think the manual is saying 12 -25 lbs, does that make sense for the tie rod nuts?
the shop manual I have for the kia Rio JB says 12-25 but then further up the page where it lists all the torque specs for the front suspension it says tie rod end to knuckle bolt is 72-86 and that's WAY to high for the outers. You think or you know? It should be in at least low 30s.
cool so that's the same as me, I've hd to go up abit to as the castle bolt wont line up on the holes correctly sometimes. The book says between 17-25 ftlb for my Soul. I usually have to go a little more to line up the hole for the cotter pin. I suspect your Rio is similar.
Hmm, I didn't see the data so not gonna argue, just seems low even at 25lbs.
