05 Sedona. I know getting to the rear set of three spark plugs is a pain in the neck. Would it be ok just to change the front three? Would this mess anything up or not be recommended/ Thanks in advance!

I don't think it will actually cause any major problems but it would be better to change them all because the back plugs will be in the same condition as your front three are. Isn't it great fun working on some engines where they make servicing so easy? Please fill in your user profile , then you won't have to give you vehicle details each time you type a post because they will be there already.

Re

I just got my spark plugs changed. all 6.

I know I thought like you initially to change 3 in front but then I thought to replace all.

If you go to dealer. I can tell you your expense will be much higher than you thinkk
each sparkplug cost 16 $
16 * 6 + labour = 415 $

Spark plug wires- Need 3 - 21 $ each plus labour (which is ridiculous, you already have intake open , no but they charge again) = 125 $

total 415 + 125

Plus they will for sure add another coil or boot replacement .. Misc 70- 80 $
so rough estimate 415 + 125 + 80

I bought spark plugs from dealer, wres from internet and some cheap mechanic
total 105 + 40 + 200 = 345 $

Hope that helps

I knew it would ne expensive thats why I ask about the three. Getting to the back three is hard and the front is easy enough.

The Sante Fe description is good, but not so fast. Everything up to propping up the intake up is very much the same as the Sedona, but at step 18 - remove rear spark plugs, this deceiving. A small mirror is useful and there are a couple of engine life brackets that must come off to get to the plugs. 45 minutes to get to step 17 is very aggressive, think 1 hour plus on the Sedona. Search for my pictures in the forum gallery - rob_fed. You will find other spark plug removal pictures there of my actual Sedona.
