So I ordered the actuator from amazon and have taken off the door panel off. I can see someone has been in here before as the plastic protector is missing. Is there anything I can test while waiting for the part? I still think it is suspicious that many poeple with this problem have a problematic door, not one that is completely dead. Seems like my issue is more like a dead circuit or motor.

Also worth mentioning, the door does not beep when pressing the interior buttons. With the power mode disabled at the overhead panel, the driver side door (working properly) will beep when the button is pressed. On the passenger side, there is no sound of any kind. Do you still think this could be a actuator issue?

With the power mode enabled, did you hear any sound at all when press the button or pull the door handle? I am not talking about the beep sound, but the sound when the control assembly or drive unit is engaged. Also, is the floor light at the bottom of the center pillar on?

Ok, so the actuator just came in from Amazon. I just installed it and there is no change. The door is still dead. The power window and door lock work, but no power sliding. No, it doesn't make any sounds at all. Doesn't attempt to do anything or beep. It is as if the power motor is disconnected or something. I am not sure about the pillar light. I don't think I have one. But the light in the window switch and door button do illuminate when the headlights are on. Any help is much appreciated.

Additional Info:
-I bench tested the original actuator and confirmed it is working fine.
-I tested the the fuse box in the rear and confirmed the fuse is getting voltage.
-I have removed the interior paneling, but I am wondering what test I can run on the motor to diagnose this further.

I see quite a few plugs that go to the PSD motor. Do we know what all these components are and is there a particular connector I should check for voltage?

So I removed what I believe is the main connector to the PSD controller and found what appeared to be some corrosion (attaching some pics). I cleaned off the connector and pins, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. Still no reaction from the door. Do you think this event may have damaged the PSD control module? Any clue what it takes to replace one? I am seeing some on ebay, but some listing says it requires special programming and is not plug-n-play. Not sure what else to try.

I removed the paneling from the other side and swapped the PSD control module between sides. Viola, the passenger side door is now functioning properly.I am really happy to see the passenger door working, however now I need to replace the PSD module. I am seeing a few options online, but the listings all say the PSD module needs to be programmed to your VIN. Does anyone know if this is correct? Has anyone tried replacing the PSD module before? From what I can tell online, it is a common failure point in the automatic doors.

Has anyone ever replaced a PSD control module? I can't be the first person that had one go bad. I would really like to know if I truly need the dealership to program it to my car. The dealer is saying its $132 to program the new one. They are also threatening me about using parts acquired from outside their dealership. So I could end up having to pay them a programming fee even if they can't program the PSD module I supply. Wondering if buying the part used is a better or worse idea? Maybe it would already be programmed, but it could also be defective.

You may be able to rule out battery low voltage/charge issue by fully charging the battery using an external charger. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, but as you can see from my previous posts/pictures the psd controller was fried due to some corrosion in the electrical connector. As stated, I have swapped the psd controllers between sides in the van, and have effectively moved the problem. I am looking to replace the control module, but was hoping someone in this forum had insight as to what is needed to replace the psd controller. I have read in some places that it must be dealer programmed after replaced. My question is, has anyone replaced one? And if so, was dealer programming required? Would it be smarter to purchase a used module in the event that it has the needed programming already?

Bill, I have replaced both a PSD control module (the one inside the sliding door panel where the actuator is located) and a PSD drive unit (the one inside the rear side panel above the wheel). Neither needed programming. Relacing the PSD drive unit will require a learning procedure, which can be easily done. It would help if you could provide the part number for the control module you are referring to.

Thanks sfcwtu. The PSD Module I am referring to is p/n: 95450-4D103. Most the online listings I saw for it (ebay) said that dealer programming may be required. Of course when I called the dealer, they insisted programming is required and strongly recommended I buy the part from them to avoid throwing my money away. Can I ask, how did you purchase your replacement? I just bought a new module from the dealer since I decided a used one might be risky. I am going to install it once it arrives and my fingers are crossed that it will just work.

Thanks sfcwtu! The final verdict is dealerships lie. I spoke with several dealerships who all said the same thing (dealer programming was necessary). I received my part directly from Hyundai's parts department. After installing the PSD controller (95450-4D103), the door started working instantly. So don't let the dealer scare you by insisting it requires $160 in programming. It is indeed a lie whether the part is new or used. So happy it is working.
