I noticed yesterday when trying to close the power liftgate from the inside (driver's seat) I have to HOLD the close power liftgate button in order to close it. If I just press it for a couple sec's, the power lift gate would close for as long as I'm holding the button down. As soon as I take my finger off the button it stop closing.

Is this normal?

Cause when I open the liftgate from the inside, I just need to press the button for a couple sec's. Same thing if I use the button on the actual liftgate to close it, I also just need to press it down for 2 sec's.

ok so i am not crazy ... good to know.

Cause the Kia manual also says you only need to press the button for 2 sec's to close it.

The kia manual is one of the most poorly written manuals I've read btw.

On another note, in my overhead display (where the sunroof button is) beside the SOS button there's a button that looks like the sign of a tow truck.... anyone knows what that button does?

Pretty well covered with answers. Definitely done on purpose for safety, so that there's every chance to not accidentally crush Timmy or Fido since you might not see them behind you. It does "beep" constantly on the way down for this reason also. Versus two-second hold and two beeps only on the way up.
