Oil Consumption

Can someone point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find the answers on the web or in the forum directly.

I have 2018 Optima with 118,000 miles. It's burning oil a lot, about 1 qt every 500 miles. I called the local dealer and asked about the oil consumption test that I saw online. They said it would be a waste of my time and money since I'm over the mfg warranty of 100,000 miles and all the test would reveal is the car burns oil.

Is my only option to simply keep adding oil each week?

Thanks

I'm the second owner of the Optima. I cannot speak as to the maintenance schedule the first owner did. Since I have owned it (about 1 year and 10,000 miles) I have changed the oil 3 times. Each time the level was at the minimum mark on the dipstick. I also check and add oil at just about every gas fill up. That is why I know the car is an oil burner. Local dealer doesn't want to deal with it and references the 100K mile warranty. I'm just looking for an alternative solution.

Any thoughts? I will replace the PVC valve to see if that makes a difference.
