Looking for a place to buy a kia factory service manual for my 2012 sorento AWD v6. Can someone recommend a website? I seen so many of these sites I'm not sure what exactly I'm buying.

***Not looking for a Haynes or Chilton manual.

I bought the car new and do far it's been trouble free.

While the ksmanual site is very good and does an excellent job, I don't think it's a "factory" service manual.

I've tried to use the ksmanual site several times and it's not as detailed as I would have liked or it is a little off.

One thing that supports this is also the title of the page when you go to the link provided. The title is "Kia Sorento XM 2011-2020 Service Manual".

I've seen some sites that say they sell/provide factory service manuals but there may be no actual hardcopy or PDF versions of the genuine Kia manuals available. I think Kia uses a system that mechanics use in the service departments of dealers. All electronic.

The closest I've seen is KGIS. It's an online internet site for very detailed information specific to your car. You enter a VIN number to get related details. It used to be free, but many years ago Kia changed it into a paid service model. You pay for access to the online system.

It can be found at Kia Global Information System (KGIS) which then takes you to Kia Global Information System (KGIS)

The rates at the time I write this are $19 for 72 hours, $150 for 1 month and $1,500 for 1 year. Details show up when you go to the site.

Try to use the ksmanual site. If you need more information, you may want to try the KGIS site.

Depending on what you need the manual for, if you need some details for a specific project, I would suggest getting everything ready for your project, so you can get an idea of what information you need. Then, sign up for the 72 hour option and take screen captures of what you need for later reference. There are schematics, detailed walk throughs as well as actual pictures of body parts, connections, etc

I've had and purchased service manuals and electrical manuals for the last 2 or 3 cars I've owned. It was nice while KGIS was free. I think many manufacturers don't have hardcopy manuals any more.

If you do get a good manual, hardcopy or PDF or whatever, let us know where you got it...others may also want to purchase one. I used to buy manuals for future use. As a car gets older, harder to get information and details to do DIY stuff.
