I have a 2004 Sorento EX and one by one over time all the lights have gone out on the climate control head unit. I have been told by the dealer that the lights can not be replaced and a new head unit would be around $700.00. Does anyone have a fix for this? I remember seeing a led replacement for this somewhere. Any ideas?

Do those numbers apply to 2005 as well? Where can I find instructions for getting access to these lamps?I agree with what you're saying and, yeah, I don't want to break it and make it totally worthless. I haven't found these parts in any manual so I'm hoping for some "press here, twist this and pry that" instructions from someone who's done it. I could try a junk yard for a new control head but I might have the same problem with it. If there's a way to take this apart without destroying it, I'll give it a try. If not, I can live without the light.
