The Atlanta summers are HOT, and I was wondering what other folks are doing to keep their rides cool. I see that Kia sells a very thick heat shield for the windshield. If anyone has tried it, I'd be interested in getting their feedback. Thanks!

I have one of those. I understand that there may be different shields with different effects. Today in Atlanta, it hit 100 degrees in the heat which made my Black Borrego pretty unbearable until the A/C really kicked in. So I guess what I'm asking if anyone has tried anything else with worthwhile results?
I live just outside of Atlanta (Kennesaw), thus can relate. I don't bother with the heat shield as I can park out of the sun both at home and at work. For other times, I just crank up the AC, which fortunately, is very powerful.
Well here in Kuwait now in the summer, the temperatures exceed 135 and all i do is put a normal windshield heat shield. I've had many cars here and i had no prpoblems.... Just wanna add that all cars imported in Kuwait have double radiators and strenghtened gearboxes and seals because of the heat. But when it comes to Protecting the interior from heat, some Normal one buck shield will do the job
