I know KIA uses a lithium polymer battery under the middle seats......How is is cooled? I know most hybrids have air filters around the batteries. Is the KIA air cooled or ?

Pretty sure it is air cooled. If it were liquid cooled, there would be a TMS coolant flush interval on it and there’s not. There’s only two coolants to change, the engine and the inverter.
The PHEV Sorento on the other hand is confirmed to have a liquid TMS for the battery pack.
