Fitting flip down DVD player

Right, from what i gather a DVD player can be added to a 2005 Sedona by removing the plug in the roof lining and attaching the mounting place to the roof bracing.

However, im looking to get a screen with a built in DVD player to save having to run wiring down to underneath the seats. Instead, can you splice into the wiring for the rear courtesy lights (to pick up +12v and ground)?....It'll save having to drop the roof lining (and time)

done mine with built in dvd flip type roof mounted...use existing speaker and link the video input to the reverse camera monitor which mounted at the front

Yes, you can just pick up 12 volts under the head liner. I picked up the 12 volt line that runs just above the door. Just pull down on the headliner after you remove the handles etc. There are a couple larger gage wires running there, that is what I used.
I mounted the player to the same bracket that the liner plug came out of.
I only use the wireless head phones I did not hook up to speakers at all.
