Factory Speakers EQ Settings

I found this to be the best setting for bringing factory speakers to life a bit more with the factory head unit (no navigation).

Bass: +7
Mid: -2
High: +8
Fade: R03

Lowering the mids adds a bit more clarity. For front seat listening, fading the speakers slightly to the back also takes out some of the muddiness from the fronts. It also gives the illusion of a bigger and wider sound field.

Power Bass setting is also on, but I notice little difference between the settings.

What do other people recommend?

Let me know if you think my settings improve things.

does this apply to the non-nav UVO stereos? my 2012 sx also has 6.1 sound. (2x tweeters, 2x front door, 2x, rear door, sub in trunk) do all other models have 6.1 stereo? my uvo doesn't have the power bass setting, but i think the sub+ all the nice molding they put in the back help round things out. hasn't dropped any lows yet that i can tell.

i have been tweaking the equalizer and tone settings. i choose to use +7 bass, and +5 treble, but i put the mids at +3. i will definitely try out lowering the mids to put less power in that area. happy with bass and haven't noticed treble being tinny, crackly, or otherwise.

thanks for tip about mids. i'll try to let you know how it works out.
