Car performance dropped when driven in hot temperature

Hi all. I just bought a pre-owned Picanto LX 1.1M 2006 at 40k km. I noticed recently that when driven during hot day where temperature can hit a high of 36 degrees centigrade, the engine's performance dropped. The engine's oil, transmission fluid, oil and air filter had just been replaced. Could it be that the air intake is designed in a way that it is taking in hot air which reduces the engine's performance?

Thank you very much.

it might be.
What about coolant temperature? If it is overheating, it will reduce performance.
As for hot air intake :) sounds silly - it might be the case too. I had Dodge Neon and it had similar problem.
But, it was acting fine on any day, until the engine got hot.

How about A/C? It may cause engine to overheat...

Inspect the ducts of air intake, does it have a leak somewhere? How does it go around the engine? In Neon the air duct was actually sitting on the valve cover so it was getting really hot...
