Just got a Borrego the other day. Liked it at first glance/drive, wife liked it even more next day so we got it.
Trying to get to know the car a little better as it is our first KIA, in fact our first 4 wheel drive. I looked under the hood just to familiarize myself with things. The only thing I couldn't find, and maybe there is a good reason for it, but couldn't see a dipstick for the auto-transmission fluid. Any help?
Also noticed a little burning smell when we park it- I guess it might be that new car burn off period? Nothing major, just a scent but no smoke or anything, but haven't had a new car since '03 and then '99 before that so my memory is a little fuzzy on these things.
Thanks.

Borrego won't have a dipstick to check the trans fluid level. Vehicle is supposed to warmed to certain temperature (monitered on GDS), then checked via a check plug. It also takes a special fluid so I wouldn't recommend doing anything with the trans fluid that can void the warranty.

Burning smell is more than likely from "new car burn off." Congrats on your purchase. I've trained on the the technology they use in the Borregos and its pretty friggin sweet.
