This sounds pretty cut and dried to me - i.e., the dealer should be able to isolate the cause pdq, assuming of course it is still non-functional when you arrive! (these things can often be an intermittent and they start working ALWAYS at the wrong time, after which the dealer will tell you there is "no problem")

 

theres always sometimes like 99% chance that issues disappear magically as soon as an expert looks at them (in some cases!)

 

This has happened to us twice in our 2 year ownership. Letting the car sit in the garage for a few hours and i came back it worked just fine. Seems the system gets hung somewhere.

 

Well I stopped by the dealer and they made an appointment. They wouldn't even look at it to see if it was something obvious so I have to wait a week. But thanx for your input! We'll see what they find. It still did it today so maybe it will fix itself in a week.

Been three weeks now - what did the dealer find?

 

I've had this happen twice and it fixed itself the next time I started the car.
