Only the LX's smaller screen is wireless. The S and above have a larger screen that requires USB connection to use Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

 

Seems ridiculous that my forte with a much smaller screen connects thru bluetooth but not the bigger, fancy looking screen. Oh well. Thank you

 

Apple Car play stinks on our 2o20. My wife has the Iphone. My Android works great in the car

 

My wife just got her 2023 Soul EX and the Apple Carplay won't connect unless the phone is plugged into the usb port. We've checked and double-checked the bluetooth and she's already tried to delete and reinstall her phone from the car. Does anyone have any other ideas we can try?

iPhone must be plugged into the USB port in the car to work. It is not wireless.

 

I have a 2018 Kia optima EX and my Auto play doesn't work unless I plug mine up even though the Bluetooth app shows up. Am I doing anything wrong?

 

you should be able to listen to music on apple car play using blue tooth, but if you want to see the screen and use maps etc, you have to have the phone plugged in. i heard that there is a dongle you can get on Amazon that you can plug into the car and then your apple car play will connect using blue tooth, without having to plug in the phone and can use all features of apple car play.
