I was patiently waiting but if it's not going to have the unveiled features, I'll just keep the 2021 another year.

Wow, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe will be crushing the Sorento next year. It looks stunning. I always preferred the Sorento, but not now.

New details have just been shared regarding the refreshed Sorento. Based on this article from Car and Driver, Kia will be selling the pre-refreshed Sorento in 2024 as hybridized only while ICE Sorento's will be the refreshed version in 2024. The hybrid Sorento will receive the refresh for the 2025 model year. That being said, Kia's website states that any version of the refreshed Sorento won't hit dealers until early 2024. In terms of the ICE Sorento, there will also be a new X-Pro trim level.

Slightly better, but... Honestly, SIX trim levels? Trim level bloat seems to be the latest thing among car makers.

Well, now the website shows the new Sorento even for the hybrid and PHEV. Strange.

When you go to the link posted on Kia's site and click one of the "Disclaimers", the hybrid and PHEV models are listed as 2025 models that'll launch in mid-2024 while the ICE is listed as a 2024 model coming early next year. Hope this settles our previous confusion on when each version starts production.

Show me what under the hood and chassis.

Thats whats important. Blowing engines and transmissions currently used will just leave this left on the road. Reliable transportation and durable is key factor, number one and looks is way down the list.

You all in the USA need to account for us Canadian buyers.

You get an additional 38,000 miles and 5 more years on your vehicle powertrain purchase warranty.
Far more time to address design weakness and failures. These cost a lot in Canada as well. Hence durability along with reliable design is so important for long term owners. My vehicles loose there warranty because time ran out and then parts fail which cost me a lot of money.

Is it me or does the new Santa Fe look almost identical to a Ford Flex? I own one, and every time I see a picture of the new Santa Fe I see just a continuation of that design—albeit with funkier, low-placed, taillights.

I actually like the new 2024 Sorento better than the 2023 I just purchased (Gravity Gray). I’d love to see the new one in Wolf Gray if anyone has any sightings of that.

I want to turn in my 2023 but I’m torn on whether I should get the gas Turbo version or wait for the Hybrid version (I like the acceleration and nimbleness of the Turbo but I am tempted by the higher mpg of the hybrid)? Anybody who owns the Sorento hybrid version, how is the acceleration? Also, the hybrid is the only one with the led lighting effects inside correct?

The acceleration off a start will be more immediate in the hybrid than your 2.5T because of the electric motor. If you are already at speed, I'm sure the 2.5T would respond better, but I've not driven it to know for sure.

I think the new Santa Fe looks more like a Land Rover than a Ford Flex. I like the looks of the 2024 Sorento better than the 2024 Santa Fe, but the usability of the interior of the updated Santa Fe is just hard to pass up, especially if the tech is better in it than the Sorento.

Okay, now seeing the 2024 in Wolf Gray, makes me want one even more! I’m seriously considering trading in my 2023 for one—albeit, waiting for the hybrid model.

I’m loving the amber DTL, the full OLED dash screen, USB 3, and extra set of air vents in the back. I wish the top of the line models though would do away with the internal suede looking roof—looks so bad IMO. Like the latter literally makes me want to buy a lesser model, it is that bad. Other than that, really digging the design.

Suede interior does sound bad. Do you have a link to a pic where you saw this?

Found a video that shows it starting around 10:13. It looks absolutely terrible with all the finger and brush marks. What were they thinking?

Right!? I never understood why they do that to the top end of their models, it is gross IMO.

I never experienced building a KIA personalized/custom, but does anybody know if you can get the highest end model and ask for the non-suede roof? Or is it not a choice at that level?
I would be very surprised if they bother deviating from the online configurator ever so I bet not. Your best bet is probably swapping parts after it arrives.
