That's the problem right now with trading in a vehicle right now. The trade-in values are dropping significantly. That will be a surprise for many who were used the high trade-in values during Covid. Used car wholesale prices have dropped between 10-20% in the last 7 weeks.

Does it have power folding mirrors? I really miss that on my ‘23 Hybrid.
No changes to the mirrors for 2024. KIA has made the decision to reserve the Power Folding feature for the larger/more expensive vehicles in North America. The Mazda CX5/50 remain the only mainstream vehicles in this segment that offer those.

Arapahoe Kia (the largest Kia dealer in Denver) is still adding $3K to the price of the 2023 Sportage Hybrid EX, but is selling the Hybrid SX Prestige at sticker. They have plenty of the 2023's in stock. That is crazy considering the 2024's are arriving.

Detailer just sent some pictures. Added full front PPF and ceramic coating overall. Pick it up tomorrow.

Oh god, I hate the horn BEEEEP when I hear people do that. To be clear, the Sportage does a quiet chirp to confirm locked doors, which is how all cars should be.
You sure the 2024 does this? Mine is silent on lock.

Bought a 2024 Hybrid SX Prestige in Gravity Gray last night. I was on the wait list and they got one on the lot the night before and called me friday morning to take a testdrive. Had to come back a 2nd time. First round wasn't fruitful as they weren't close on my trade and paying over sticker I've never done. Ate a sandwich, went home and did another KBB on my trade and shot them over a follow up text. Got a reply we were close and I replied that's the best I got. Paid $2k over sticker and got the KBB figure for the trade. At the dealer now getting inspection stickers and sales will help me with Kia Connect.

Coming from a 2017 SX. Power was a concern so it was a hybrid or nothing. I didn't mind the turbo in the 2017.

I was going to wait for the 2024 Santa Fe hybrid but figured that will be a fistfight.

Quick hits on the 2024 that kinda bother me.

1. No dropdown storage for my sunglasses.
2. No auto closing of side mirrors. All manual.
3. No normal drive mode. It's ECO, Sport, Smart or Snow. After reading it sounded like normal was an in-between of eco and sport which sounded like a winner.
4. No heads up display.
5. Does wireless android auto exist? Using a USB cable bothers me.
I just bought one a couple weeks ago. The outside speaker when going into reverse is obnoxiously loud with no control. Dealer said that was designed that way for safety? Is yours like that? The whole neighborhood knows when I am leaving in the morning. Other than that, I love the car.

Try searching "VESS" in this forum for solutions.

My wife leaves for work early in the morning, I'm still in bed but I hear her backing down the driveway... lol

It was removed. No longer in the setup screens.

This relates to having a horn beep on door lock.

The original idea for VESS was to at least simulate the sound of rolling tires and purring engine. But legacy beeping backup sound was too annoying. (and not legal for mfg to provide an off switch) The Kia VESS module/speaker is on the front facing forward. It is extremely loud in reverse apparently to make sure that if someone is behind you and hundreds of feet away with their back turned they will hear you shift into reverse. It is also a penetrating sound through home walls and windows. (no sneaking out in the middle of the night undetected😂) I can imagine many focus groups and lawyers had a say into the penetrating sound and volume.

Some have complained that the small, low backup lamp on the Sportage is not a very visible indicator to warn people in a parking lot that you are about to back out, so maybe they made the sound especially loud to compensate. But if people don't know the sound, they would probably look around wondering what is that crazy sound and where is it coming from? It is also probably also very loud because the front speaker is pointed in the wrong direction for reverse. I would prefer having an additional rear speaker that emits an appropriate volume (same as front volume in forward gear). Cost killed this idea.
