This cargo mat from Smartliner specifically states that it fits the 2023 Sportage without the subwoofer, but I cannot determine if it will fit the HEV model. I know if I purchase it and it does not fit, I will probably never send it back. Has anyone who owns a hybrid purchased this mat?

I don’t believe there’s a difference in the design of any of the Sportage cargo areas. It’s simply whether there is a subwoofer (only with HK sound system in higher trims), or not. And of course, the cargo floor has to be in the higher position. That’s probably why the Kia OEM mat is narrow/wing-less - So it can fit in both floor height positions.

I ordered the Smartliner cargo mat and will provide an update on fitment when it arrives.

The Smartliner cargo mat fits perfectly in the 2023 Kia Sportage w/o subwoofer. This includes the hybrid and non-hybrid models as the part numbers are exactly the same.

Finally, tuxmat (.com for US, .ca for Canada) released floor mats and trunk mats for 2023 Kia Sportage. IMHO, tuxmat liners are the best in terms of quality and the look and the coverage of the carpeted surface. Placed my order last night, Fedex says on their site that they will deliver end-of-day Thursday. I will post pictures when I receive my new mats.

Why do you like them over like smart liner or WeatherTech?
I never heard of them. I just went to their website and gave them a call. They don’t make them for the Sportage hybrid yet, or a cargo liner.
Also smart liner, and WeatherTech only have the fronts and the cargo liner. No second row mats yet, for the hybrids.

The Tuxmats are a great option. The Tuxmat cargo mat only fits non-Hybrid vehicles according to the website. It looks to be rectangular in shape.

I have had Weathertech liners in almost all of my past cars and they were ok, but some amount of dirt was still getting on the carpet and under the liner and I always wanted liners that had tight fitting tall sides/edges - and that's what I'm getting with Tuxmat liners. Also, in my opinion, Tuxmat liners look much better than Weathertech or Smartliners, there is no feeling of just rough plastic or rubber underfoot and they look/feel good in winter and summer.

Thanks for the info:
I agree on the weather tech never really liked them, I’ll look into Tuxmat For me it’s going to basically come down to whoever gets the front and rear’s in stock first, smart liner or tuxmat who I wind up going with

It looks like Tuxmat now supports the Hybrid, including the rear mats.

The picture doesn't look any different, but does say it is for illustration purposes only. I got a notification from them in my email.

Is the coverage better on the TuxMat than on the ally weather mats from Kia? The mats from Kia do not cover the center hump in the second row and do not extend up the door sill much at all in the front row.

I ordered a set also, so there are two less sets available. The company mentioned they would sell out pretty quickly. I received the email from the company this morning as well.

I am sticking with the Smartliner for the cargo area. It fits perfect.

Best I can tell from pictures the ones from TuxMat (or WeatherTech, Husky, Smartliner, etc) will all be more coverage than the OEM mats from Kia. They are not all the same as each other, but they all appear to have better coverage.

And for the first time I see the 2023 Sportage listed for Husky. It seems not everything is loaded into the system yet, but it is there at least. (it wasn't yesterday)

I can only find the Cargo Liner for now.

I ended up also ordering the Tuxmat for first and second row, they should arrive this week.

Are most people here just leaving the cargo area in the upper position? Or are you lowering it down to get the extra height?

It seems that most of the cargo liners seem to assume you are leaving it in the upper position for how they designed it. The only one that looks like it would work in both positions is the OEM cargo liner from Kia.
Tuxmat doesn't work in both positions based on description of subwoofer and chatting with them (since no real picture on site), and the other brands (Husky, WeatherTech, etc) appear to for sure not work in both positions based on their design and pictures.

Anyone with a cargo liner have any insight or thoughts on the 2 height positions? Or does no one use it anyway.

We will never be using our cargo area in the lowered position, which is why I purchased the Smartliner mat for the cargo area in our Sportage Hybrid EX.
