True enough, but i drove a red sportage and the red turn signals were hard to see. This is a huge design flaw in my opinion. I mean, people naturally look near the brake lights for the turn signals...when you put them in an awkward spot it makes it a lot worse. Add that to the small size of the turn signals and their vulnerability to get pretty dirty down that low it might be impossible for tail-gaters to know you're turning.

On the other hand, if they're amber the people driving orange or yellow sportage's will have the same problem.
Totally agreed with the turn signal not being standard and too low on the bumper for a good view to drivers behind. That might be one of the big dislike I have on this 3G Sportage!!! Want to see what happens in the winter when the snow covers the bumper while driving... should have order heated turn signals...:frozen::auto:

Inside, the 2011 Kia Sportage is a winner too. In fact, this interior is one of the best I have road tested in a long time.

The sophisticated design aesthetic definitely flows into the interior, giving the 2011 Kia Sportage cabin an upscale, roomy and highly comfortable feel.

I thought about that this one, but if you compare to a normal size car, their at rouglhly the same level. The sportage back lights are pretty high mount wise.

from CTV Auto news - the Sportage was selected as one of the best new cars in Canada (out of 12)

Let me be frank, I didn't like the old Sportage at all but the new one is so improved it made the 'Best' list. It starts with the styling -- very Euro, and moves to the interior -- very upscale. The driving is firm and responsive although it won't win any drag races with its economical four cylinder engine. Kia is delivering quality and economy in a small SUV that is now fully competitive in its segment.

review of the Canadian EX Luxury model
Yet driving the Sportage seemed different, we didn’t get the same feeling of sluggishness we got from the Tucson.
Another complaint we had against the Tucson was its ride quality, which was unusually rough, even at low speeds in parking lots and around town. Thankfully, the Sportage seems to have the cure for this problem as well, riding much more comfortably than the Tucson.
We came away from our week with the Sportage really impressed with what a great little vehicle this is, and we wouldn’t be afraid to recommend it to anyone.

Is that the 2011? No LED daytime running lights.
The new design is only a 2011 model which is what is shown, the model presented in the video is the LX model (US), as it doesn't have any fog lights. However, if it was a Canadian LX model it would have foglights as they are standard on all models in Canada.
LED daytime running lights are only standard on the EX model - in both countries (they were a late arrival in Canada).

It would help if you could fill out your profile with your location and what you drive - thanks.

i cant to seem to find any 170 HP 2.4 L engine availible on the kia usa website . the one he mentions that doesnt have vairible valve timeing . i think some writers just make stuff up to fill the pages . im quite sure they all have 176 hp and vairable valve timeing .
he's correct you can find out about the 170hp 2.4L at Kia Media
It's to do with California's requirements, it's the same for all the other Kia models. For example in the new Optima has 200 hp 2.4L (ULEV), but also a 192 hp (SULEV).

Does not apply to Canada.
