do you have spark ?

Diag would have been the way to go before throwing any parts at it, especially if you used aftermarket.

 

I did diagnose it it does have spark

I install the new fuel pump because the one original to the vehicle was not only rusted out on the top but also would only activate when I turn the key to the on position, at intervals, not every time as it's supposed to. I bought fuel pump not aftermarket, but from Kia parts dept. So it is OE equipment. I didn't want to chance a non-working aftermarket fuel pump.

 

I believe that model has a timing belt - when last was it changed?

You could try spraying some starter fluid in the intake.

Get a diagnostic scanner attached and check if the crank and cam sensors are reporting back and correctly timed.

 

I will. I did shoot ether into air intake, nothing. IDK when timing belt was done. I just got it this past weekend. Crank sensor I'll try testing and replacing. Ty! Good advice!

 

I have to ask, where did you get it scanned. most part stores have scanners that only cover generic systems (emissions)

 

I have a $500 scan tool I used myself. Parts stores scan tools are only good for basic codes, superficial codes. Not codes that would appear as to reason vehicle wouldn't start .

 

It's an Autel Maxiim km100 advanced professional scan tool.

 

It's does keys to program them but also scans obd2. I'm gonna get this today too. Autel powerscan ps100 ground/fault diagnostic tool. In case a wire is broken or open ground somewhere.

 

Contact the supplier or manufacturer because its not working for your specific brand/model.

I will have them do that . As well as spark. I'm not experienced enough to diagnose timing belts . I can do alot but timing belts is my limit. Personally I feel it's either spark or timing. I have never driven it having only had it since last Saturday and the condition being only crank no start.

??? - you said it does have spark.

Anyway, even if it does have spark, but the timing of the spark is off, its a NO Start.

 

With the timing belt routine replacement unknown you might be looking at the engine being trashed if it did jump timing - it's an interference engine.
