Hi all...new guy in the Kia world and so far loving this forum. Hoping someone can help me with an issue. I have an 06 Sorento 3.5L. About 3 weeks ago nephew was driving the car when it cut off on him. He coasted it to a stop, called me. It would turn over but not crank. Pulled code for crankshaft sensor. Took a few days but got the sensor replaced and everything back together. Cranked first time and has run like a champ ever since...til yesterday. Was driving home on the interstate when the car suddenly started missing. At higher rpm would run ok, but at normal was chugging hard like it was about to cut off. Was able to limp it home before it cut off as I coasted into the driveway. Pulled code, this time got PO343 CAMshaft pos. sensor. Came back a couple hours later to start checking it out and it fired right up like there was no problem at all. What??? Turned it off...cranked right back up pretty as you please and idled smooth for 15 minutes at least. I don't want to pull everything back apart if its not needed. Any chance this be something else? Fuel filter...plugs...etc.? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated since "throwing parts" at it is what I'm trying to avoid. Thanks.

The camshaft sensor is located by the camshaft looking at the front of the engine it's under the little cover. It can be changed without removing the timing belt. I use a 10mm socket with a magnet in it to remove the bolts so they don't drop as the main cover timing has to be removed to get the bolts.
