I set my phone in the wireless charging area and it charges/doesn't charge/charges/doesn't charge. No matter how I set it, sometimes it charges, sometimes it doesn't. Really frustrating. Anyone else?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, no case. I set it down oriented with camera bump facing down on both left and right.

Obviously, I know I can take it to the dealer. I want to see if others are having the issue so I can try to understand what the issue may be so I can avoid taking it to the dealer or otherwise to give the dealer feedback on the issue.

I used mine yesterday and it seemed to charge properly. Do you have a thicker case on your phone that might be interfering?

In my post, I stated I use no case.

I think the issue that day was that the phone was very hot and so charging stopped for that reason. However, I still find the pad very picky about placement. The phone has to be perfectly in place or else it will stop. I've never had a charger require such precise placement before.

Sorry, missed that about the case.

Mine also was very warm when I took it off, even though it seemed to be charging properly.

No charging issues, and it charges fast. I don't have any problem placing it correctly into the compartment.
