Wireless Charger Dock Getting Hot

My wife told me today, that her wireless charger in her car is getting real hot and beeps.. Does anyone know or have had any issues with theirs? Would this be covered under the electrical part of Kia's warranty? She currently drives the 2020 Forte with the GT Line trim. Thanks

People I know who have had wireless charging stations in their cars, Kias and other brands, have consistently said two things: first, wireless charging as the technology exists today is pretty much worthless because of the unacceptable length of time it takes to get any measurable charge from it to your phone, and two, the overheating issue is more than annoying; it borders on dangerous. These are just anecdotal conclusions. Maybe forum participants can give more expansive information on this issue.
