I just ordered the shark fin antenna for my R5. In order to do so, I had to get the paint code. When I went looking for it I realized that my car was built on Feb. 2012. I ordered my car back in November of last year. And I took delivery in mid April. From my numbers it appears that it took 3 months to build it from time of order and it took another 2 months to deliver it after it was built.

I'm just curious to know what the turn around was for those of you who ordered the car to your specs, if you were to use the build date as a basis. Interesting to compare Canada vs. US vs. Australia vs. etc.

your dealer with your complete VIN will be able to tell you the exact date it was built. The door post date will only give you the month and year so you don't really know which part of the month it was actually built.

I did not factory order mine but my Soul was built on September 26, 2011 and took delivery at the dealership on November 12th (was obtained from another dealership) - so that was pretty fast when you consider how far it has to travel.

Allo. My Rio was built on March 2012. I took delivery of it on April 19. I had a five weeks wait.

While I did not factory order my Rio either, the build date on the door is 12/11 and I purchased it on 3/2/12. I watched them unload it from the truck so I know it had just arived.

Not sure when mine hit the lot. It was built 3-12-2012. I bought it April 30, 2012.

Mine was built on my birthday haha! Just looked then on the door sticker.

It was built February 12 and I picked it up first week in April. Took roughly 6weeks

My 2013 SX Sedan was ordered( As a 2012) the 1st week of January & completed March 19th. It arrived @ the dealer on April 23.Dealer was told by Kia that my car was a month late being produced due to some kind of a parts shortage.I took delivery May 1st.

depends on what time of the month they switched over. 10th digit on your VIN tells you the year.

Huh??? Mine's a 3 door and was built in Feb 2012. Februrary was before March when I went to school.
