OK here's the story one day at my friends house, and in their driveway i did a burnout in a reverse. When i did this my front wheels spun first, but when i did it going forward my back wheels spun first, and when i did it again, this time my front wheels were rised 4in. on the asphalt and my rear wheels were lower in the grass, i floored it in drive my back wheels spun first. And my book says my car is FWD, so what the **** is up with my car. :(

A 2002 Sportage is REAR wheel drive, when the 4 wheel drive is not engaged or if you have a 2WD Sportage.

And if you are doing these burnouts with the 4 wheel drive engaged, on dry pavement, you will damage the drivetrain.
