rear parking assist

 

^^^ ya that's exactly what it is

 

And this whole time I thought its to be used when the standard horn is ignored.

 

It turns off the beeping from the rear sensors, if they are annoying you in some situation, like backing into a very tight spot.

 

I use it when I have a trailer hooked. It beeps all the time because of the trailer, still it will never warn be before the trailer hits anything.

If only car manufacturers came up with some sort of book that explains the features and functions in a vehicle....

 

They do the owners manual

 

that's parking assistance. clearly it's not rear parking but front parking sensor activation. especially, when you do parallel parking, it's really helpful to make space front car and rear car. you don't need that front assistance when you just park rear.

 

It's actually the Pissed Off button, for when your pissed off and Demolition Derbying the car the annoying sensors don't go off when your ramming your......

 

I have a 2011 Kia Sportage. On the left side of the dash panel, I see a P-off button. It also has what appears to be a radio symbol on it radiating from the P. I have just gone through the owners manual and did not find it anywhere. Picture attached. Anyone know?
