Pretty much any muffler shop can put a farty can muffler on your car and most anyone can make a cold air intake with pvc tubing if they wanted. All of that will get you like 10 hp if you're lucky and a ton of noise. My suggestion: calm down... you don't have a race car. I assure you on average it takes me the same amount of time to get to work in a Kia Spectra as it did in any other car I have ever had prior to it including a very fast Mercedes. :)

cold air intakes are snake oil ,they change the tone of your exhaust and thats it .you will actually loose power using one .
adding more air leans out your fuel ,to reap a real benefit you have to add air and fuel and then get remapped .
dont believe me ,check this out .

cold air intakes

the proof is in the dyno

hence ,why i said kick out the passenger ,that will make a more noticeable improvement then most of these snake oil mods .

Please stop before kicking out the passenger. Litigious society these days...

I put a cold air on my last truck. Complete destruction of bottom-end power but a bunch of air sucking noise from a freakin' tube! Took it off days later and returned it and called the company offering them my truck to prove their setup actually made power. They didn't take me up on the offer and said, instead, that I also need a "tune" to benefit from the additional air intake. Yeah, okay... but sometimes noise makes you feel like you're going faster.
