The trunk floor is made out of very thin particle board. I got some 3/16 thick board from Lowe's and, using the old one as a template, cut out a new one. If you do this, your trunk won't collapse at a bad time.

The weatherstripping around the rear doors can peel loose like a string of spaghetti because its not secured well enough on the rear edge by the window. I got 3M weatherstripping cement and squeezed some into the channel where the rubber goes, then squeezed the rubber back in the channel using the edge of a screwdriver to work it in. Now it stays put when people get in and out of the back.

The shifter boot got full of holes, so we took it off and my son made a new one out of denim. It looks pretty cool and fits prefectly! He's able to make more if anyone is interested.

well nto counting engine performance mods, I did hand detailing (hand cleaning of engine parts without water). Replaced all teh worn parts inside the engine that I could get to. Replaced the trunk boards like you did. tightened the seats for the front driver and passenger (gonna replace them since they are too heavy and wiggle too much when driving aorund 70 to 80MPH. Replaced the battery cables (the stock ones were rusted and the stock battery terminal clamps were about to split) which helped quite a bit. I replaced the stock air hosing for the air bleed valve in the car so now the braking power is better. I am also int he process of modifying my bumper for better airflow and better looks.

I still have more to do but its a decient start. Kias aren't bad if you know what to do with them. Also that sounds neat (show picture of the shifter boot if you can) but I have an auto, so I can't do that.
