I have read a bunch of threads about hesitation problems on here, but I can't seem to find one like mine. My 06 Sedona has 140xxx miles on it. It has been hesitating for a while, and it is getting worse. At first it would hesitate from starting from a stand still at the first couple stops but then quit. It has progressively gotten worse.
OK, here is the kicker. My van will quit hesitating and will run like new after I use the cruise control. No more hesitation at stops, while accelerating through turns, etc., but if I don't use the cruise it will keep hesitating at every stop. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Any ideas on what to do to fix it? I don't understand why it quits after using cruise control.

I had a hesitation on my 07 Sedona, not quite like what you described, but try cleaning out the throttle body which might help.. also make sure that there is no cracks in the air intake hose.
