I want to say no but it also depends on the dealership you would go to if you had problems with you ride. Some dealerships are good about stuff and some can be pretty bad about stuff. If you do decide to change it yourself I would recommend keeping your recipts when you buy your oil and filter for proof of purchase incase your dealership gives you any problems. I dont really see how changing the oil would affect the engine.........not changing it would affect it. I plan on changing my own oil on my Sorento and Optima soon instead of paying some one else to do it.
