Somehow my VSS wires were severed. I went to pick n pull to get a new ac module (pain to install) and picked up the VSS off the car I was cannibalizing. I'm wondering though if I can't just splice together the torn wire. I read somewhere that resistance matters and I'm wondering if splicing the wire would change that. Also, I am wondering if that doesn't work does anyone know if there would be any issues in installing a used VSS? It looks totally fine with no observable damage. Thanks for your time.

No problem splicing them together but make a good electrical connection clean and tight, if you can solder them and insulate that's best, if not use butt splices and seal them up good with rtv or something like that so your connection doesn't corrode over time and weather. If you make a good clean and tight connection and insulate it and seal it will be fine Good luck.

Thanks ronjohn. I appreciate your response. I'm about to try to splice them together now and I'll report back with results.
