I have a 2013 Sorento with a basic UVO audio system. I prefer to listen to my flash drive (yes, it's all in mp3 format). It seems like when the car gets warm, the USB drive stops working. It will switch to the CD or Sirius and continue "loading" media files. Every few seconds, it'll flash back to the USB screen, then lose it all again.
Once in a while if I leave it do that for too long, it will "erase" files. They're not actually gone but it will only find say, 304 songs as opposed to the real number (well over 304) until I plug it into my computer again.
It also, while listening to CDs, will sometimes skip tracks. I will be halfway through a song and it'll just move onto the next. It's not a problem with the CDs as it does it to a lot of them and not often.

I have tried about 6 different flash drives (brands & storage sizes) and all of them do this. The dealer has also replaced the whole system once but it continues to happen. It has been happening since about Dec of 2012, shortly after I bought the car.

Anyone else experience any of this or have any possible solutions or ideas why it's doing this?

when i listen to songs from my iphone thru the usb the songs skip a little but they are not that way on my phone .
if your drive is recognized and then drops out and then gets recognized again it could be a loose fit at the usb .
or these microsoft systems just arent tweaked very well.

also why cant we just download our songs to the jukebox? i guess you can only do that from a cd ?thats pretty dumb

who says so, I can do it from a flash drive, that's the way I load all my tracks onto my Jukebox :)

never had any problems with my UVO system, but have you tried the reset button? Do you leave the flash drive in all the time?

Please fill out your location and drives details.

I don't think I have a reset on it? Maybe I'm just dumb and don't know where it is...

Yes, I leave it in all the time until it starts turning off. Then I unplug until the next time I use my car, when it does it again. Like I said, it mostly seems to do it when the car gets warmed up? And it used to do it when I'd plug my phone charger in (I don't use it often so I am not sure if it still does).

As for loose USB connection, like I said, the whole system has been replaced once ... I'm wondering if there's something internally that could be causing it? Like something the dealership has overlooked?

I don't have enough room on the Jukebox (or enough time) to put my music on there :)

An iPhone is different from a flash drive. Apple locks their products down pretty good.

its just reading your iPhone, nothing to do with the Jukebox. As I mentioned I use a flash drive, not a phone which is in mp3 format (which is has to be for the Jukebox to accept it). Apple has their own propriety system (as mentioned by Tapeworm).
Put your tracks onto a flash drive in mp3 format and then you can copy them to the Jukebox for storage, but it does have limited capacity, flash drive is only limited by the size you purchase, but too large can cause problems.

Here's my 8 gb micro flash drive, about the size of the nail on my small finger. I currently have about 1500 tracks on it but its far from full. Leave it plugged in the car all the time and only remove it to add or change tracks. My Jukebox currently is full with 151 tracks (but most are quite large tracks, not the standard 2-3 minute tracks). Not sure if newer models have a large Jukebox capacity. With smaller tracks I've had in excess of 400 tracks.

i put about 50 tracks on a flash drive to try it out . i think the jukebox only has 1gb of memory .
if its the same size as mine, its not even that about 700 mb about the same capacity as an average prerecorded CD.
It also depends on what compression ratio you use when you convert to mp3.
