Sorento EX v6
Had a head gasket failure 2 years ago. Repaired by changin the head gasket. Like 6 month ago saw that i was losing coolant. Checked the radiator, swaped the thermostat, checked the fan sensor - everything was flush. But, if i would give the engine max throttle like 3 times in a row for a couple of seconds and then stop, then my coolant reservoir would overflow and spill the enlarged coolant from the overflow reservoir with visible bubbles comming from the buttom.
Gave the car for repair again and guess what they found: a couple of engine bolts have broken off the thread and didnt seal the engine hard enough. Now they are carving out new enlarged threads to use bigger bolts. The advice im getting from the repair shop is to repair it and sell it instantly because the engine is made out of "jelly" and doesnt hold anything. So im wondering if this is a KIA moment with engines that are not meant for repair or theres something that im missing that overheats the engine when im street racing in Kyiv. Maybe, just maybe, a family car is not meant for red light to red light 12 times in a row pedal to the metal driving? Or it should whitstand such load while being properly serviced? (Oil change every 6000 miles, transmission oil change every 15000 miles)
Were there any recalls of about engine metal quality or whatever? From what i know, i saw a couple of thread when people were just highway driving and suddenly started to overheat. Cos thats basically what i had 2 year before. I was just driving like 100 mph. That shouldnt be a problem for a 300 hp engine.
