The one thing I miss from my previous car is the climate control air conditioning system and I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the manual air conditioning control system in the Sorento XE to a climate control system as fitted in the XS as standard.
Anyone got any idea as to possibility and more to the point what's needed if it can be done?
Is it a straight forward control unit swap out, or are there additonal sensors, valves and controls needed in the ventilation ducts and/or under the bonnet to accomplish this.

The big question is how much would it cost and would it invoke the warranty

I too am interested in finding out the answer to your question. I will give ya the info I know there is a sensor spot to the left of the dash console. It has like 4 horizontal lines. For the automactic climate control to work it definetly needs a sensor. So this is probably the location. I need the repair manual or some pic of that section. I hope someone post something on that info.
