Help. My friend who is a vet with PTSD has a 1994 Sephia. It passed smog (Calif) and the next day it would not start. Checked for a spark and it was a good one. Pulled the fuel line at the point where it intakes to the injector line and it pumped out well. Disconnected the exhaust pipe and it still won’t start. Any suggestions? He needs it to get to work. I’ve been driving him.

If the vehicle has fuel, spark, and air, would suggest, starting back at the battery / engine compartment fuse box:

1) check all fuses / relays, make sure all are good,

2) check all grounds (battery -> frame, battery -> motor),

3) confirm fuel pressure w/ a fuel pressure gauge - verify fuel pump & fuel pressure regulator are working as expected,

4) check mechanical timing / condition and alignment of timing belt,

are there any CEL / MIL codes being thrown on the dash? Posting those would help.
