I'm wondering if anyone knows if the 6 speed manual is compatible with the 1.6 engine. I have the 5 speed but am not crazy about it on the highway. 5th gear revs to high for my taste. I have access to a 6 speed soul trans. My soul is 2011...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The soul, and Veloster are compatible, possibly more options as well. You may or may. It need a mount, clutch, or flywheel but it will bolt up. Check part # on a parts website cross refrencing the year with the 6spd vs your 2011

probably easier and cheaper to just trade your 2011 for a 2012 where the 6-speed became standard, you will also get increased HP and torque too.

1.6 gamma 2.0 theta is different btw 1.6 6spd is the same Veloster / soul 2.0 6spd is the same forte/soul 2.0 6spd I highly doubt fits 1.6

I'm also rebuilding the 1.6 with a small turbo. I have access to a kia 6 speed and just wanted to see if it would work. Thanks.
